Long Middle
« on: January 18, 2013, 07:29:30 AM »

So I've been using my prototype for nearly a year now and I've decided that the true middle of the bat is not necessarily where I have left the most timber on the spine.
It's a traditional shape, taps up nicely in the middle of the bat but it is bottom heavy to suit my tastes. I'm happy with the pick up and it drives well enough.
Question is: Have I made a bat with a long middle and should make all my bats this way to maximise the hitting area or have I missed an opportunity to get the most out of my bat?

Show us the profile of your bat and we may be better able to tell you. And also, what do you mean by the "True middle"?

I've wasted your time. I meant that the most responsive part of the bat isn't the thickest but having taken it out of my coffin to have a look, it's pretty much massive all the way down! I'm also too much of a technophobe to work out how to upload a photo here so if anyone can point me to a crash course then you can have a gander.
