Took a bit of a risk with these so far as style and colour scheme (I think a lot of cricketers like their kit to be aesthetically pleasing as well as practical.

They are apparently John Simpsons (Middlesex) old gloves. Super soft and customised.
This pic shows the insert cut into the thumbs and a piece of leather stitched in.
Apparently this increases the length of the thumb on the glove and allows for more movement. The webbing is a custom job and the cuffs have been fiddled with in regards to padding removed.
My supplier reckoned that the idea for cutting the thumb and placing an insert in there was introduced by Jack Russell, who liked a longer thumb and better movement.
