Tour to Cardiff / South Wales June 2013
« on: January 13, 2013, 09:33:39 AM »

Help - a call out to the Welsh forum members.

We’ve booked up our accommodation for a long week-end tour to the Cardiff / Glamorgan area from June 14th – 16th 2013 and we are now in desperate need of some opposition.

Looking for help in arranging 2 fixtures, one for the Friday evening 20/20? and one for Sunday afternoon.  We are a team of 30/40/50 and one 60 year old who enjoy a game of social cricket but are probably better now at socialising and talking about the game rather than playing it.

I appreciate that Saturday is league cricket almost everywhere in the UK and our social sec. has sorted us out already to watch the Lions on TV before lunch and then a trip to the “Big Pit” and the Penderyn whiskey distillery will keep us busy in the afternoon. It goes without saying that our evenings will be spent sampling the interesting and varied entertainment that Cardiff has to offer.

We will have a mini-bus for transport and will be able to travel a reasonable distance for a game.

Many thanks in advance.

I went to Cardiff on tour in 2010, great place. Plenty of big clubs about who could probably put a side out to accomodate any level of cricket.

Usk and Radyr are the places i remember.
