Sanding a bat obviously affects its weight, if you sand it enough, but the second part of your comment makes no sense, because the bat hardly needed sanding at all?

Yes, but I just wanted to know that there were two scoops on the bat and to even out those you need to loose a lot of wood. I thought he  removed the scoops by sanding it :).
