Salix bags
« on: February 21, 2013, 05:26:56 PM »

Can't find much using the search function. I've watched the IJC review of the Pod Pro but I was after some more info on the Pod One and Pod All-kit bags.

Does anyone own either model or has seen one in the flesh? Basically wanted to know more about the internal compartments of each bag

I'm sold on the aesthetics and quality just want to know exactly what I'm buying before I take the plunge

Cheers

No internal pockets, just a couple of mesh pockets.

The only issue I have seen teammate having with the Salix is that it is sometimes difficult to put put the bats in the external pocket if there is stuff already packed in the main compartment.

The quality is excellent and styling is classy

Thanks for the reply

Is that for both the One AND All-kit bags? It's just that from the pictures I'm looking at in the Morrant catalogue the Pod One bag has a zip on the top and at least one more on the front. Do these both open into the same compartment then?

The main compartment has a single zip. There is a separate external zipped compartment at the front

How big is the extra compartment on the front? What kit will fit in it?

Thanks for all the answers

The All Kit is massive. I found it too big even with all the kit and bats I carry to games. Plus a pain getting it into the car boot

I have a Pod Pro and fits all my batting gear including 2 pairs of gloves, plus my Ayrtek and then all my keeping gear plus whites, and 2 bats in the bat cave. I do agree and put my bats in first, I keep my spikes in a boot bag mainly to stop damage to my gear but they would fit inside.

Depending on the kit you carry, the Pod One or the Pod Pro should be sufficient.

I have the current pod one tri wheeled. There is two zipped compartments on the front, one fits your boots/helmet/clothing etc. the larger compartment you put your pads etc in. the compartments are separated my that thin nylon stuff. there is a compartment at The top where you can store stuff this is nylon as well and goes into the main compartment. Issues for me is it Doesn't stand up properly, and you will be a brave man to put your bats in the bat cave, which if the bag is full, they won't fully fit. The two handles to carry the bag doesn't have Velcro thingy to hold them together so they flap about.

I have the pod one and it is just right, it takes two bats, the boot pocket fits spikes and trainers keeping them away from clean kit etc. I use the other pocket for my lid, two pairs of gloves, inners arm guard and baseball caps which all fit comfortably.
The mesh pockets keep all the bits and pieces like spare spikes nice and tidy.
I will take a few pics and up load them if that helps?
