New spyder "legend" bat
« on: March 06, 2013, 05:02:08 PM »

This is my first real bat upload so excuse me for any errors i make.

Iv had spyder kit since the autumn since getting a discount with gary but last week after a facing a yorker which got right on the toe of my bat, a huge chunk came out the bottom of it. I rang gary up and explained the problem and said he'd open up the shop on a sunday (which he normally doesn't) and have a look. I thought this was amazing customer service.

Once we were there he said that it was down to the willow being to dry and that was the manufacture's fault so he had no problem with me choosing a bat of the same price range and taking it home for no extra cost. I asked for one with similar spec's and came out with around 10 different bats for me to have a swing with. He also had no problem with me bouncing a ball on them. After a while the pick up and ping on this one really stood out to me.

Specs:

Handle - thinish and round ,not my preferred but not a problem once 2 grips are applied
Weight - 2.12 1/2 oz on my scales with 2 grips but picks up around 2.10
Grains - 10 straight (not ruler staight) grains
Edge size - around 33 mm
Middle position - reasonably middle'ish middle position.

Now the pictures ,only have my blackberry camera to take them with so really doesn't do the bat justice!
(hopefully these work)

One last thing id just really like to thank gary for his amazing customer service ,really great guy.
