Steady net at 85mph STANDARD lol.
I'd struggle with 8.5mph at the moment.

Looks class though and good luck to him!

Look a class bat for sure.

What weight bats did he request as I can't imagine playing that sort of speed with a heavy bat.

His range from 2-7 to 2-9 but the 2-9has a lighter pick up he tends to use that on club tracks against slower bowling

Why is it, when the video camera is behind the ball, does 85mph not look that fast, even though, I know that if I was facing it I'd be struggling?

You can tell that that's very quick! Nice batting! But I would have thrown the odd 70mph one in without telling him to throw him off!  ;)
Well done to batmaker and cricketer for your hard work paying off!  8)

My pleasure its always nice trying to pass some experience on to people who want to learn and progress. It's easy to be a big fish in a little sea but a lot harder to step out of your comfort zone and put yourself up there to be counted.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bounce-Myth-Talent-Power-Practice/dp/0007350546

I listened to the audiobook version from Audible.

It's a really good book written with authority and (from what I can gather) good research.

We used the principles outlined in the Army in a slightly different context, but to great effect.
