Front foot
« on: July 05, 2008, 01:07:20 PM »

I can get forward well enough to block and push but i can never really get any power into my front foot shots. Off the back foot i am fine but as the majority of the ball's i get are pitched up it's a bit of a problem.

is your backlift high enough to provide the power? Is your backlift coming down straight enough.
maybe you are trying to hit it too hard and mistiming it?

i think what is happening here is that there is no weight transfering in the shot. Basically your just relying on sheer upper body strength. talk to a coach on some drills to fix this. another thing is not enough bat speed.
