Cherries
« on: March 14, 2020, 03:42:22 PM »

Odd one here... But I know one of you fine lot will know the answer:

My bat simply never gets cherries, be it an old ball shined up, or a fresh nut with the lacquer nice and new.
Contrast that, a team mate seemingly gets a cherry almost every shot.

I'm definitely the more correct bat and definitely strike the ball with better timing and much harder.

I want a cherry! :(

This is indeed an odd one. An idea might be to give your bat to your hopeless team mate, he gives his to you. After the net if he has lots of cherries on (your bat) and his bat has no new ones on that you are using....he may not be that bad after all and you may not be as good as you think you are..

Worth a try?

I noticed that some makes of scuff sheet give much more cherries than others. The Mighty Willow scuff sheet is particularly good. Has a rough matt surface. But I tend to clean off any cherries from the nets as they don't feel like 'real' battle scars. How sad is that...
