Knocking in a Gray Nicolls Kaboom bat with a Scuff sheet
« on: May 03, 2013, 02:56:04 AM »

Hi All

I bought a Gray Nicolls Kaboom bat a few days ago. When I got the bat the retailer put a scuff sheet on it. Now I have to get the bat knocked. So can I get it knocked over the scuff sheet itself or should it remove the scuff sheet and get it knocked. If I can get it knocked over the scuff sheet, how about oiling the bat.

Please help me out.

Dont need to oil the parts covered by the scuff sheet. Its fine to knock it in with the scuff sheet on.
Good luck.
Some photos would be nice too. ;)

You can put oil on the part's of the bat which are not covered. Such as the back, edges and toe. After that you can knock it with a mellet with the sheet kept on.
