Young Aussie Quick looking for UK club
« on: August 16, 2013, 09:35:40 AM »

Hi Guys,

I've got a mate who is keen to come over for the 2014 UK season, he's a left arm quick & handy lower order bat and wants to play somewhere close to London.

Where would be the best place to 'advertise' i guess that he's keen & trying to find somewhere without having to go through the agencies? He doesn't really want to worry about all that stuff.

Cheers
Corey

I am likely to be able to help you out with this.
The challenge is does the individual want to be paid? I play for a club in South West London (near where all the Aussies and Saffas live!!)

If he is happy to be a standard (unpaid) overseas and can sort himself out with accomodation (I may be able to help) then send me a pm.

If he wants cash, then I am not the guy!

As Buzz says my club may be interested we play in Kent but close to M25 and A2 so good road links and also only 25 mins from all main line stations.

Please let me know what his looking at and what grade he plays etc.

Thanks guys, appreciate the response.

he's not looking to get paid, just looking for some help with work & accommodation & getting around while he's there.

He currently plays in a synthetic comp here in Melbourne which is quite a good standard and has played a number of league rep games on turf.

Hard to compare the standard without knowing your leagues, but I played with Arundel in one of the Sussex leagues years ago & that was a similar type of standard to our league here.

Maybe if you're able to PM me some of the details, I can then pass them onto him to have a look at.

Cheers
