Kieswetter's New "Spikes"
« on: July 17, 2013, 06:56:37 PM »

I was wondering what everyone thinks of Craig Keiswetter's new footwear...

Has cricket really come to this?!

Never understood why people think cricket shoes offer protection. You are going to get busted toes no matter what shoes you wear. Unless cricket shoes suddenly get steel toe caps then  i am dumbfounded

He's only fielding/keeping in them, so no real need for protection

I think T20 is all about being different to the traditional form of cricket and this has extended through to the way it's played and what players are wearing. Here I think it's another attempt to do something different and fun.

Many players wearing dark coloured shoes in the limited overs stuff. I personally think it's cool and something out of the norm.

Fair play to him I say.
Let's remember that in the 60's converse were at the heady height of sports trainer technology!

Lol true true.

But they don't look that bad and if he finds them comfy for a t20 when why not?
