Bit confused as to the rules and regulations of match balls and their size (i.e circumference). I'll be playing on a Saturday and the ball will feel just about the average size for a 5 1/2 ounces. Then I'll be playing in the under 17's league which will feel just slightly bigger then a junior size ball. And that's just the start of the confusion. I'll also play the occasional Sunday game and the ball will feel too big in my hand and uncomfortable.

So after all of that, I'd love some replies on whether what I said is probably a load of bonkers and that it's just me, which it could well be!!! Or that there's a good chance that the circumference is different between each ball and that it's legal. Or perhaps even illegal in the laws of Cricket.

There are two sizes as far as I am aware. Junior at 4.75 ounces and senior at 5.5 ounces. Obviously the junior one is also slightly smaller. That's it in a nutshell.

For men's cricket, the ball must weigh between 5 1/2 and 5 3/4 ounces (155.9 and 163.0 g) and measure between 8 13/16 and 9 in (224 and 229 mm) in circumference.

As you can see there is scope for differences, so different manufacturers probably are slightly different to each other.  Presumably junior balls have a similar range (sorry can't be arsed to check further)
