We are winding down on the bats/softs/bags side of things to focus on helmets so made sense to pair up with someone who can deliver a bat so we can still serve people who approach us for them with less hassle involved for me.

It's not oiled and the other ones I have seen people have match this quality so I'm far from concerned about what goes out with our label upon it.

well it was posted up on here before hand but seems it was over looked, someone came into the office and it caught their eye last week.

We have a rather nice 2.9 in stock in its place now thought ;)

Don't mind heartwood, avoid it if possible, but hate knots on the playing area. There looks to be 2 big ones on there, might be the reflection or picture though.

Won't affect performance but I want serious looks for over £300 when I see some of the other bats on here for under £225

There is one butterfly stain on the face, just under the sticker. Get your point, but hopefully the bat goes like a rocket so I can look past that.

Ah right, that is true, you would want a clean blade with 9+ grains, and I think only one of my 3 £300+ bats has a clean blade with heartwood. The other is all sapwood with a minor imperfection near the edge, which is covered by tape anyways, and the other one is an Affinity with some slight markings. I used to think looks didn't matter at all, but I agree that when spending that kind of money, you would like a good looking bat! That being said, I don't mind small blemishes, as long as there are a decent number of grains and they are nicely spaced. :)

Do you have a profile shot Ilanz? I remember someone saying it was a mid-low sweetspot, then reading somewhere it was a mid-high sweetspot, so would be nice to have a proper confirmation. :)

It's a hybrid of the Carbine and Ayrtek, and it's got a mid-high middle...How do u get along with your affinity bat?

you can opt for a pre-knocked in bat at extra cost but dont think the pre-oiled in an option on the website. Im sure if you asked it could be arranged though.

I have the Spectre model in 2.13-2.14. Had a few throwdowns with it the other day, and just leaned into some shots. The ball rockets off the bat, which is to be expected as it is massive, but it is pressed very well indeed. :) Safe to say I think your Ayrtek Affinity will be one of the best you've used yet!
