Millichamp & Hall Originals
« on: August 19, 2013, 07:06:51 PM »

So with the sale on a little purchase was made. Got M&H Original pads and gloves. I am saving these until the next season, but this didn't stop me trying them out. The postives was that they arrived while the missus was on hol, the next is that they are currently in the attic being a man only zone.

So I got them out of the box and they are in a high quality net bag, much like the type that vantage are doing in combination with soft pockets.

Then I looked at the pads, they appear small (didnt check them to my current pads), but they seem to have more ankle protection that a normal set of pads. I was left a little bit disappointed as I expected a lot of tan leather, but all you get is a tab on the strap (actually understandable due to these being the low end). There is padding on the strap and the feel of the pads around the knee roll is great.

The gloves, very movable and of a good quality as you would expect.

Anyway the new season will look classy.

Gear looks great, very classy.  Also considering a purchase.

You say that the pads are 'low end?' Can anyone advise on how relative this is?  In other words, are they pro level?  I currently have Kook Ice pads and gloves, slightly past their prime, but all the pro level range.  Am I going to be disappointed if I order these pads and gloves?  I won't go for the higher end gloves, as I prefer sausage fingers.

Love the look of them!

They are low end for M&H. But I wouldn't say they are low end for the overall market. I'm not sire what they are like compared to kook.

The pads seem quite lite, I've not worn them for a long time it was just a wack on wack in the attic before I get found out on my purchase.
