GN Legend - Made in England
« on: September 10, 2013, 03:30:42 PM »

If I were to purchase a GN legend am I assured it is made in England?  Or are some made in India?

Obviously the threads about Puma's and other brands being made in India have made me slightly unsure about what I am going to get.

I have heard Legend being either English version or Aussie version. English ones are most probably made in England but not sure of Aussie one (could be an Indian make).

If you go for the Legend experience, it's definitely UK made. I'm not too sure about the off the shelf Legends though...

Legend bats can be made in Aus, UK and India - Given that you are wanting a UK one, my suggestion is that you try to go to Robertsbridge if you can for a day out - or if not, speak to the likes of IJC or Vitas (or any other of the forum sponsors) and ask them to source one for you.

They can guarantee your bat is UK made - if that is what you want.

The Australian market Legend is only made in Australia. They will all have a made in Australia stamp on the edge.

The ginger bloke was at Lord's again this year; telling everyone that GN bats were handmade in England.

Being for the English market he would say that, the people at Lord's probably weren't looking to but the Aussie model so the fact they're made down under was irrelevant lol  ;)

Correct. And there is a model called the Ultimate that is also Australian made. Looks pretty similar to the Legend profile as well.

Yeah. They will custom make both models for you in Melbourne. The new Legends are very convex while I am yet to see an Ultimate on the shelf that is convex.
