Blueroom Range 2014
« on: March 06, 2014, 05:41:56 PM »

Hi Guys

After a brief forced absence - apologies to all who have missed me, I am back! Most importantly I am here to stay :)

So, Here are some details so far of the 2014 range from BlueRoom. There will be additions to this topic so be patient with me and I will keep adding to this thread.

The main changes for 2014 are the Heritage line which is detailed in this thread http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=29270.0 new stickers for Blueroom bats and a new grading system that replaces the Max Performance grading used on previous Blueroom lines. Grading will now be classed in the following order:

Custom / Bespoke
Elite
Pro
County

This seasons BR alterations so far are mainly aesthetic with a new range of stickers which I will detail below, there's also a new duffle bag and a new bat - The STORM. The PINK has stayed - It has proven to be extremely popular and the blue has also stayed. The stickers have been toned down a little and hopefully you will agree that they are a more rounded and aesthetically pleasing design.

The STORM is made from a slightly larger than normal cleft with a traditional starting shape. The Rob uses small amounts of concaving in specific areas to give the best pick up for each individual blade. Although the storm will be a stock Blueroom bat, none will be identical due to the specific concaving and nature of each individual cleft used to produce these Big bats.
The bats will be hand pressed and hand knocked in ready for match play just like all other Blueroom bats.

Weights start at 2.11 upwards - some have come out lighter when prototyping but these have been rare!
All prices and details for the Blueroom range of bats can be found on the website http://www.robertpackcricket.co.uk/bats/blue-room-bats-2014/

The duffle bag has been very popular. Dimensions are 87cm X 36cm - all the pockets are external so they don't encroach on internal compartment space. There is a separate pocket on the bottom and side plus a large bat pocket as well.

I will post some images and please feel free to leave feedback on anything. There's more to come for 2014 including a few surprises so keep an eye out for this thread updating :)

I may have got carried away with the image uploading but I know how much you all love Pictures :)

Thanks mate. Its not been an easy 6 months mate to be honest - work and some personal issues (I know cliché) prevented me dedicating time to the forum and other interests I have but..... All is looking up now! New job starting 17th March and life back on track so it's all UP UP UP from this pointon :)

Timing is probably just off mate to be honest. Wanted to be back over Xmas really and do a better run to launch but you will all have to do with the here and now approach :)
