Yes Andy, how did you get on with chasing it up with the courier?

I hope you are enjoying this festive time of year but don't forget to reply to the mails I've sent you. You said leave it with you and at the moment you've left me with a helmet I cannot use.

Jaffa,
 the courier are not prepared to do anything as you left it so long to report to me that it had been damaged. They also suggested that due to the time you have had it you could have damaged it while in your possession.   so we stand no chance of getting anything from them so look like we a stuck with a bit of a predicament to sort out.

With due respect to both parties, if I read correctly, this was an ebay transaction. Shouldn't you be carrying out this discussion via ebay resolution centre? They may be able to offer expert help but keep in mind in most cases, it goes in buyer's favour.
