hey guys just brought a curved drawknife can anyone give me some tips on how to concave bats

Use a curved plane or spokeshave - you have much more control for concaving with one of these...

a round bottom plane or travisher are much easier to use than a curved drawknife.

you can make your own round bottom plane from a standard wooden coffin plane. these are cheap and easy to find on ebay
