Oblivion E41 kit
« on: December 06, 2013, 04:06:38 PM »

Many thanks to Asad at UziSports for sorting me out with my new Oblivion E41 5 star gear for next season. As you can see from the pics I went for the 5 star pads, 2 pairs of 5 star gloves and the 2lb 8oz bat that Asad posted a few weeks ago. All the kit feels great - pads are really light and gloves are very comfy.
Bat has 17 grains with a fair bit of heartwood and taps up really nicely as one would expect given that Asad hand-picked it. The pick-up is extremely light and although the edges aren't quite 41cm they are pretty big and it has a lovely bow.
I have used a lot of different kit over the last few years but really wanted to get matching equipment and was keen to try GN having not bought any of their stuff before. I do have a few more new things for next season (and one more bat on the way!) and I will post it all in the new kit section next week.
Thanks again to Asad - he is always a pleasure to deal with and sorted out my requests really promptly, including an amazing delivery time!

Thanks for the review Andy. I am glad you liked the kit. It is always pleasure dealing with you. All our hand pick bats are like the one I sent you.

This set looks very nice indeed, Pilgrim, plenty of willow in such a light bat. I have always been a lover of GN, mainly because of the succession of Dynadrives I had in the early 90s. Little concaving, nice bow and a middle as large as a size 10 foot that made even a muppet like me look like a passable player.
I am sure you will score many runs with that Oblivion, just please make sure you don't when you play us! Cheers Guy.

Normally I'm not a GN fan, but this set is right up my street in terms of style. Especially the gloves which look really minimal in the right way.

All the GN Oblivion E41 we picked are top quality bats and they look nice as well. Oblivion is my favourite range
