I had a similar question and made a decision to go with shoe goo. It was easy to apply and sticks much better.

Hey Tejas, which one did you use? There are a whole bunch of them on Amazon.

It was a clear shoe goo. I will post a pic of it once I get home.

I'm On the brink of pushing a far superior product into the cricket market for use as a toe guard. Testing is underway, final discussions ongoing, we will launch soon. Keep your eyes peeled :)
