IIRC, the Arcass brand was named after  Rodney Cass a former Worcs wicket keeper. Their kit was very nice, I had a pair of their batting gloves in the late 80s. Chris Broad also used their gloves and pads when he first played for England in 84.

I think their problem was one, getting volume of sales and secondly having it manufactured in England when most other pads and gloves came from India and were much cheaper.

Fantastic!

"The bat is half the battle." If only!

The Slazenger 5 star that Boycott is promoting was my first proper bat.
