What's the difference between GN Test and LE grade bats?
« on: February 03, 2014, 01:19:18 PM »

As the title suggests really, I was watching a review comparing an LE and Players grade bats, and the comment was the LE has no blemishes and that the players would (generally), however my Test grade E41 has knots on the back of it? So what differentiates the Test, LE and Players grades bats?

Supposedly the test comes from their top 1% of wood (same as legend) and LE is the top 10%. Of course this could be rubbish, put out there by GN. On the blemishes thing, they grade by performance not looks usually so you may have a knot in the back, but a gun bit of wood. Little blemishes make no difference to performance, just ascetics.

Ah, grading by performance.. I think there are threads that go into this if you use the search function.
