Gunn and Moore Bat Refurbishment
« on: April 06, 2014, 02:47:07 PM »

Hi All,

I contacted Gunn and Moore over an Icon LE refurbishment this week and was quoted £45 for a refurbishment (Cleanup, New facesheet and toe, grip and stickers).

I was just wondering if this is now the standard price for a refurbishment from them now?

I have seen a lot of people talking about £20-£30.

I obviously do not want my proverbial 'pants pulled down'.

Thanks all.

Is £45 including return shipping?

I have the same dilemma with a refurb and toe repair of my match bat from last season. The quote was 35 gbp which does not include postage each way so basically looking at a minimum of 50 gbp.

Now I'm not quibbling about the price so much of the repair and refurb as it'll come back like a new bat but having just bought two bats over the last week or so I'm umming and aahing about spending the money.

So, I'm wondering if I've got to the point where putting monies towards a quality used bat off ebay or this forum is more cost efficient than repairs and refurbs... it's a dilemma especially as I live abroad too and am not back in the UK that often or only for short periods of time apart from the Summer. Being abroad means 30 gbp each way for postage... :o

Trade price to me is more than this before VAT.
