Doesn't make good marketing sense from Kooka i have to say.

When you have big name pros using your product, little Johnny in his mid to late teens wants what the pros use. How pi$$ed is he that he can't have the same gloves as Ian Bell his hero....
Ah well, he can buy the same gloves that Cook uses, hello Gray Nic! Easiest sale GN have ever made!

Let's be honest, the forum is in the minority when it comes to noticing these things.
Your average player won't care who made their bat, or if it's pro pressed. They may never even measure the edges! They'll see player X using that bat, so buy one with the same stickers. That's good enough for them. Chances are they won't notice/care it's a totally different shape to the one on the telly. They have the bat they want because X uses it.

As for gloves, they'll see Ian Bell using green ones, and know he uses Kook, so will buy some green Kook ones in the shop. Job done.

We do like to overthink things here, the knowledge shared can be both a blessing and a curse for kit geeks!

Hence why New Balance might have a field day next year if they can get enough product into the shops.

Long live King ROOOOOOOT!!

I was going to use New Balance as an example actually!
Look at how many colts (and adults, for that matter) are using a GM Six6. How many of those are down to the Roooooooot factor?

How many of those kids (and again, adults for that matter!) will now have a "Joe Root New Balance" on their list to Santa?
The shape Rooooooooot uses doesn't matter. If New Balance can meet the demand for bats they will sell a ridiculous amount.
I think the orange & black range will sell well too, expecting to see lots of New Balance bats being used in 2016.
