Smallest edge
« on: May 18, 2014, 07:31:30 AM »

Hi all,

Just want to have a little comp to see who has the smallest edge sized bat. Rules: Bat must be at least harrow sized and edge must me measured at the largest point. No age limit!

I'll start off with this ancient bat that has no recognizable brand name. A 20mm monster at the toe!

My old Newbery Excalibur has a mighty 20mm edge too! Must have been a bit of a standard fitting.  :D

It's pretty good - very dry, not been used in more than 25 years and probably worth way more now than what it cost. I'm sure I saw a woodworm ravaged example, without scabbard, go for almost £200 on ebay.

Interesting, I wonder how much mine would go for? 😉
