And next are the CK4030 - we only stock them in the blue and white colour scheme, which I actually think looks fairly bland, but still a very good quality shoe, as Chris explains:

We also have the 4020 rubber shoes in stock now.  The video for those is uploading now, so I will add it to this thread later on.

Good to see a specialist rubber cricket shoe on the market at all, let alone a good one! :-)

I visited Paul a month or so ago to get some new shoes, and went with the New Balance 4030s (I think - middle of the photo of Paul's shelf).

Cheaper than Adidas/Nike, and having had a chance to wear them a couple of times now, I'm pretty happy with them. Colour scheme isn't too offensive like some shoes.
They are pretty comfortable yet lightweight, but also have the protection on the toe. Only qualm I would have is that they don't have a front spike like most spikes, so you can't really mark out a guard with the spikes. I normally use my bat anyway, but some might be annoyed by that?

Also, Paul's shop was rammed full of awesome bats! Anyone who thinks they might want a new bat should pop in!

Cheers Paul!

How did the sizing come up, out of interest? I know that in the 4030 review, Chris said the sizing was 'standard;, but in another review he said they came up a 'little small'. I'm a UK 10; take a 10.5 in my current Asics and take an 11 in Adidas, so would be curious to see how the NB's come up for you.

Thanks in advance :)

NB sizing seems similar to adidas sizing.

Size 10 Asics were a bit tight on me. NB in 10 seem just right. As goldielocks said...
