LE Clarke Profile 20+ grains
« on: June 18, 2014, 06:01:12 AM »

Just wanting to share this grainy bit of willow that I got through Jake at Vitas Cricket. To be honest it was more the profile that lured me in, but not having used a bat with so many grains, and wanting to try B&S I decided to add it to my collection.

It weighs 2'10 and doesn't have any concaving to speak of. Feels good in the hands and tapping a ball up the face initial thoughts are it should be a goer.

Have given the edges and toe a bit of knocking in and a light coat of oil this arv along with a different grip. I also modified the rear splice sticker and removed the lower ones - prefer minimalistic stickers on my bats I do it to all of them. Still plenty of time before the upcoming cricket season here in OZ so plenty of time to get it prepped.

Here are a few dodgy iPhone pictures:

Looks a beaut mate!

I used B&S 15 years ago at school in SA and they were certainly goer's then!  Enjoy

Oil that bat lightly and often. Lots of hardwood, got to keep it moist else it might crack.
Nice bat btw!

Balls aren't as hard here though so shouldn't crunch as bad, sleeve it up it will last ok.
