Evening All
As I promised earlier on another thread, here is my comparison of my two Purists.
One is slightly older than the other, as you can see from the stickers.
As you'll see I have got the same grip setup on both bats, half a chevron on the bottom and a red GM Ripple on the top.
The Indian made bat has a slightly lower swell than the English one, so has a more bottom heavy pickup. However as you will see in the pictures this is somewhat negated by the Indian bat having slightly thicker shoulders than it's English counterpart.
Another significant difference is that the Indian handle is much thicker than the English one.
Both bats pickup well for their weight (Indian one is 2lb14 and 1/8 and the English one is 2lb12 and 1/2).
In summary both these purists are nice bats, in the classic profile. I prefer the thicker handle of the Indian made bat, but the profile of the English one.
Both tap up nicely and I look forward to giving the new (to me anyway) Indian one and my recently repaired English one a proper test in the nets.
Enough of my waffling, to meet the forum rules that this comparison actually happened here are the pictures.
