Coloured pads. Options?
« on: July 05, 2014, 11:03:57 AM »

So it looks like our club is changing to colours this year, probably going to be wearing black pants so what options are there for coloured pads?

Preferably after some higher end gear, not interested in getting clads though.

I've done a bit of ebay and google searching and not getting much come up

Orange pads would be bright but i think black would be the go, your local cricket shop could help you out as well, i know my local one has a custom kit form with a minimum quantity but still most coloured pads are going to be pricey if you want the protection, the other way to do it is to just paint half a dozen sets

I've seen pros before just spray paint pads the appropriate colours. I suppose you would need a good quality paint though or to redo it every do often .

I have these
http://www.cjicricket.com/Batting-Pads/CJI-Cricket-Batting-Pads/CJI-Ultimate-Limted-Edition-Coloured-Batting-Pads.html
although they are actually the Ultimate Special Edition model.
They are excellent and as high-end as you could wish for.
