de Kock Helmet
« on: November 23, 2014, 05:33:15 AM »

Noticed today at the SCG that Quenton de Kock is using a Masuri helmet with an Albion (but not stickered) face grill.

This would surely be against the manufacturers design specifications and would have also been a safety concern.

I'm just wondering about the ICC regulations as well. Most junior cricket associations here in Australia have regulations requiring junior cricketers to wear purposefully designed cricket helmets that meet national safety standards.
Any helmet that doesn't have its own manufactures grill, wouldn't meet the standards.

Would/should the ICC have the same requirement?

As a adult you don't have to wear a helmet ! so anything is better than nothing! and the players choice at the end of the day!
