Net Bats
« on: January 06, 2015, 07:44:13 PM »

I've been looking for a net bat for a while now as im netting a lot and would like to keep my number one on ice for games, so was wondering what cheaper bats you would recommend and what you think to having a spare bat for nets and what a decent net bat would be, would it be best to get something off eBay or rather something like the retro rage from Gray nics like powerspot dynadrive or prestige, obviously not the legend from the retro range.
Thanks
Harry

Everyone needs a full profiled SS as a net bat!  ;)

If you can find a cheaper version of the bat that you use for games in terms of balance, pick-up, weight etc then it would help...unless you net like me, where my sole aim is try all the bats that I feel like that day and close my eye and swing...

Most people on here have multiple bats and some have a collection that I would be happy to take anyone bat as my match bat even though it gets classified as a net bat...so wondering if having a net bat is a good idea on this forum is a redundant question :)

What's your budget? If you looking at a cheaper option msr seem to be decent. If your loojing higher end then I agree with tusher just look for a lower end of your match bat

What do the pros do? I bet they bat with a range of the same bats Botha nets and match alike. We all know a bat is at its best just before it breaks so if your serious then get 2/3 of the same bat and rotate them!

It's a good idea to get a net /wet weather bat but I wouldn't pay top doller just maker sure it's the same spec as your match bat.

Could you not take your bat to one of the forum makers and get them to make an exact copy of your bat but in the grade to match your price?

You can get a good bat for that money, try Aldred, his gear has got loads of good reviews and he seems a nice guy too. GN/gunn and Moore etc charge more as you are paying for their sponsored players and their advertising.
