Royal London One Day Cup final
« on: September 20, 2014, 10:38:28 AM »

Missed the start of this game, but from what I've seen Stokes is bowling really well (and is unlucky not to have a wicket!)
Looks like Durham have had the better of the first 17 overs but theres a long way to go.

2nd dropped catch off Ben Stokes!
Rikki Clarke dropped on 0 second ball. Stokes has been really unlucky not to have 3 or 4 by now!

That ball is doing so much off the wicket! Almost too much really.

Porterfield was also using the Omega batting gloves and Rikki Clarke using the bat.

Does Jeetan Patel not have some sort of English ancestor England can call on :P? Was very suprised when he chose Warks over NZ.

Stokes, must have been one of the tougher decisions though!

Why play for NZ against good spin-playing batsmen when he can play against English batsmen who seem to have no clue about spin and just try and hoon the ball out of the park all the time because they run out of ideas.

It is the same with football. Why bother to learn technique? It is all about the 'big'un' surely...?

Useless was an understatement. Some of those batsmen should be ashamed. I have seen better batting against spin at club level.

Patel is NOT Murali, nor Warne. He is not even Stuart McGill, Graeme Swann or Daniel Vittori. He is a very average spinner bowling at even more average batsmen. Simple.

PS. I support Middlesex. We have Ollie Rayner... Sums it up really!
