Wicket keeping kit and tips

Hi all
For next season I wanted a new challenge so have decided to take up keeping with our climb in desperate need for a full time one. I have been looking at a few items of kit and wondered what your thoughts are on them. P.S the fasted bowler I would need to keep for would be high 60 may be 70-72 on a really good day going down a big hill.
Pads :Newbery tour wicket/fielding pads has anyone tries these what are there advantages disadvantages. Noting I'm only short
Gloves: Newbery Tour Gloves same as above really disadvantages/ advantages both on sale at the moment and what are there quality like ?
Helmet: Masuri vision Club helmet, already have a helmet but want a separate one for standing up as it has a tighter grill to the face and incase it takes a big knock i want a different one so I don't have to bat in a broken helmet
Thoughts on this kit please and whether it would suit my needs. Thanks
Also any keeping tips in general welcome.

I'd say try and find a specific wicket keeper helmet(the peak is smaller)

Our keeper is fantastic. But can never see the one that goes straight up in his batting helmet!!

Ie tried looking bit the only one I know of is the Masuri one but this has been discontinued and I can't find one anywhere. I here any other options apart from the Masuri one ?

Thanks. I was looking at these but as they are the exact opposite to our clubs colours which we are supposed to stay in accordance with I'm not sure of get away with it. As well as this I'm not sure it would be worth that £78 for the level I play but again thanks anyway. Is thee any other brands that offer a wicket keeping specific helmet ?

I can recommend the Newbery Tour pads, they give you more freedom of movement and good protection.  I also have a Masuri keeping helmet which is excellent.  I didn't know they'd been discontinued.  I would snap one up.  You can always have it re-covered in your club colours. The small peak and cut out at the back make a big difference.

I only started keeping 2 seasons ago (I'm 31) so I thought the best thing was to get a little bit of coaching before I developed bad habits. It really helped me, not for everyone I know. Main thing I picked up in the first few sessions was footwork is very important along with head position and keeping relaxed. I continued with the coaching ever since and am really enjoying keeping.
