FvanN, I did. To me it looks quite cheap/tacky! Came in vacuum packed plastic which says India to me with a cheap, thin white grip on and a needle thin handle! Way too thin for me as it is. Anyone else snap one up from PDC and have similar views?

The Chevron grip is the preferred grip of Trego. It's fairly basic but is on the bat because this is 'his' bat. For �200, the bats we have hand-picked are very nice in my opinion. I can't speak for PDC but like bats from all brands, there are ones i definitely wouldn't want to go on my shelf, so i don't pick them, they must end up somewhere so maybe you got one that me (or any other retailer who takes the time to visit the factory/warehouse of the brands) decided didn't merit the sticker it carried. All GN handles are very thin so not much can be done there.

I have some theories and reasons to think a GN bat is UK made, but there are no hard and fast rules, and bats i definitely know have been made at Robertsbridge don't always carry these indicators. I am not going to list them here in case things change in the future, but if anyone visits the shop (our forum event this weekend maybe) then i am happy to share my opinion.

By the way I am not saying all Lucky 7's are UK made, just that i suspect the couple we had in stock in September (and have sold) were made at Robertsbridge. I can never say for sure as i don't work for GN but i have my reasons to believe. The ones we handpicked on the 10th of November were mostly Indian made based on my experience and what i look for. THis is no bad thing, i have an Indian made GN bat and it is fantastic.

I currently have two very very nice CA bats so don't mind Asian made bats at all.

At �125 it was one of those things that the price made you think you wanted more than the item did. Had I not in the process of ordering a bespoke set of Strettons I probally would have picked one up for that kind of money but at the current price I would rather buy a bat from one of the sponsors that I really want.
