What can i say, i like my mustard the way i like my bats.......more grains the better! (Sorry, but i had to say that). It's english mustard nurtured in france........

Matt, yes it is a stanley but apart from that i couldnt tell you, i'm at  work at the moment and have nooooo acess to the tools! What would you reccomend for some serious concaving?

And yes, that looks like the handiwork of a certain pakistani manufacturer who i am very fond of!

Nope, sorry for the confusion, it's English Mustard all the way from Sussex, not a jar of Dijon in sight!!!

Problem is i'm trying to get a little more concaving on the back but my convex spokeshave isnt that convexed.......bit of a problem really!

The curveiness of the convex spokeshave is indeed a complex problem
Travishers wise a no 5 is about the norm for more concaving a 6 less 4.
A clifton convex spokeshave is good for all but about £55!

middle part made looks like it could be a special bit of willow!
Let yourself down there with that Dom!  ;)

Right and left part mades are from Chris Easby, dont know the origin? Are they English made?

Middle one is from Tom and is kashmir willow.

Talisman is currently tool hunting for me :)

Thats very good of you - thanks again - struggling to find time to go out and look for these things plus you would know a good spokeshave from a bad one better than i would!
Out of interest, what grit do you use when finishing the bat? I find anything over 500 doesnt really provide any better finish
