SS Ton Bats
« on: January 05, 2015, 04:44:46 PM »

Hey fellas,

Recently been to India and went to the store to buy a few grips and toe guards but bought these gorgeous SS TON bats  :(  :D. The temptation after looking at a few bats was simply irresistible  :-[. Picked these after looking and looking for a couple of hours from a pile of bats. No concaving, thick edges (40 mm) and all weigh a little over 2.9 lbs. Although all the bats have an amazing response and lovely pick up, the Heritage (which is also the cheapest) has the best ping and grain structure. It really feels like a special bat and I feel it could (or should) have been a higher grade bat.

Enjoy the pics..!!

Gorgeous bats, very jealous. Were these profiles the norm or just the odd one here or there?

Lovely looking bats. Did you bring them back in your suitcase or did you get them shipped over?

Any recommendations on reputable shops in india. Young lad from my club going over in a couple of weeks for a month.  He's had a bad experience last time when he went he brought a SS which broke it's handle after 4 games. His mum has said no more bats from india, but i think he got a dud. Did they let you tap them up, flex the handle, offer to knock them in for you etc?

I suggested a SS Heritage and you seem to indicate its a good bat.

These are the odd ones and most of the bats I have seen had a good amount of concaving. I looked at a couple of Gladiator ones and they were aweful considering they are top of the line.

Yeah, brought them back in my suitcase

Depends of which part of India he is from. From where I am I just went to the most reputable store. I know there are a lot of fakes so I believe he got one of those. Similar thing happened to one of my friends. He got a mid range SG bat for a peanuts and it snapped within a few games.

If he is from around the Delhi area, he can just go the Meerut and talk with Sachdeva sports.
