Anyone used 010 shorts?
« on: January 12, 2015, 10:27:31 PM »

Hi

After looking at my kit before nets started, I've decided I need to get a decent box and short set up. Been thinking of the 010 shorts for a while but wanted to know what people thought of them.

Cheers

Not tried the 010 shorts but have invested in two pairs of the Aero batting shorts for the new season.
I can highly recommend those on the initial impression and one nets worth of use

I've already got a set of stretton fox. So just really wanted something to keep the box in place. Also as I'm getting older I think I'd appreciate some kind of compression for the hamstrings... :(

That's exactly what the aero batting shorts do mate. Lovely Lycra material stuff for compression and a pouch to keep your box in place!

I tried the aero shorts, the box doesn't stay in place, found the aero briefs much better fit with a GM guard.

I have a pair of under armour compression shorts. In white with a pouch for the box. Good fit, comfy and box stays.

I have other coloured under armour shorts for other sports and the don't have the box pouch, so ensure you check if you go that route

The 010s I have don't have a pouch. They are good compression shorts, but need something for the box. I bought mine a couple of years ago.

aero briefs with compression shorts over the top works for me. I have the UA gear and there is a box pouch, but I don't use it - looking on the internet now, it doesn't appear they have a box pouch any more...

Looks like you can get them with pouch now:

I use mine under GN pouch shorts for the box.

This is what I use - box still moves with briefs, with compression shorts it's pretty much stuck in place.

I've got these and the aero compression shorts.

The 010 shorts are far and away the best I've owned.  Yes they are more expensive but so much more comfortable and with the pouch the box hardly moves at all.

You won't regret getting them

I've got 2 of the older/originial ones which didn't have a pouch. Very comfy but the box will move, I wear mine under the compression leggings so that stops the box from moving.
