Lovely bat.

Just clarifying, is the slanted S going to replace the TON sign?

no, it aint... what i have heard, due to restrictions of ads in international matches, TON came up with this image to advertise their brand and comply with ICC too... and only selected few bats have it... but there is no plan to completely banish the TON image on their bats and use this image.

I'm not sure that's accurate. From what I understood of it, TON is intended for the export (UK, etc) market and SS (Slanted S) is for subcontinent/ India. I could be wrong. I wouldn't have said it's to comply with ICC regs on branding as there are plenty of other subcontinent brands who haven't toned things down.

But I really like this shape. Never really got the idea of huge toes (for proper batsmen anyway).  :D ...and these bats generally pick up slightly lighter than their dead weight and have less concaving.

Anyone selling a used SS in this shape?  ;)

I think you're correct in what you say, TON for UK etc due to the name SS (Stuart Surridge) already existing, and SS for subcontinent/India.  I think the question being asked was more whether the slanted S is going to replace the SS to TON logo in either/or both markets?

Yeah you're right there mate.
SS stickers for Non-UK market, TON stickers for the UK market.

From my understanding, the TON stamp is for Sareen made bats with Sareen stickers, and the slanted S is for Sareen made bats with other makers stickers.
Not sure that's 100% set in stone though, as you still see the TON stamp on some bats with other makers stickers anyway.

Just got back from India last week and have to say was really Impressed with the new bats by SS and SG, even SF had a few rockets that were picked by India U-19 team guys while i was shopping.

After much deliberation between a TON Reserve edition , DK19 SS bat and this Gladiator i walked out of the shop after almost 2 hours.

I shall let the pics do the talking.

I know not everyone will believe that by writing G Gambhir at the toe it would be his bat nor that i care. I bought this simply because it had the best pickup among the three.
The bat weighs 2.8.5 and feels amazing for the size.

Now all 3 were stunners in their own right but the DK 19 had V Rao(presumably Venugopal Rao) written at the toe and the SF was for Vijay Zol who did pick it up in front of my own eyes.

do you mind sharing which shop and how much did you pay?

It is true that most of the intl player bats will have their name written on the bottom. I recently bought few player bats from my supplier. They were made for upcoming world cup. Happy to share the pictures if someone can help with posting.

Cheers,
