How very sad.
 
A fielding collision - you would hope this is so easily avoidable, but they happen. Jeff Thomson suffered a bad collision in a Test match (shoulder dislocation, I think) which took the edge off his pace. Nothing comapred to this, though
My thoughts are with his family, friends and teammates.

I read about this this morning. Awful and a freak accident. Thoughts are with his family and also the other guy involved.
