Roll the grip down from the top of the handle to the bottom then roll it back up. Do this a few times and it moves it up.
If the grip doesn't't go down the handle far enough roll the grip from the bottom of the handle up to the top and then down again. Do this a few times and the grip moves down the handle.
also, buy decent grips as they are easier to fit in my opinion.

I thought the rolling stretched the grip? In my case with too much at the bottom it would be the last thing I'd want to do

I'll 2nd the roll it down from the top comment. If I end up with a bit folded over at the bottom I'll do that until I get to a point I can get the bottom of the grip to the bottom of the handle.

Once you've got to that stage, roll the grip from the top right down again and it should hopefully get rid of all the folds/ripples.

I don't even want to think of the house I've spent applying grips and perfecting this technique!

Ah ok. I always thought it stretched it out. I always end up with it folded over by an inch or so at the bottom

You may find it easier to leave it short of the bottom and move the grip down rather than try and move the grip up.

I had one of those squid thingys years ago. Was ok but the plastic strips broke easily and you couldn't put more than one grip on a bat with it. Threw it out after using it about three times

Kwik Grip which used to be made by Fearnley wins hands down. Unfortunately they discontinued it. Try searching ebay for them as my previous one broke after a good few years. luckily i found someone selling three sets so i bought all three.

Very easy to use a grip can be applied in less than a minute.

With a name like that I instantly thought
