Can happen to any bat, the model isn't really too relevant in my opinion, although considering the Viper is just a Kahuna with red stickers, maybe you're on to something...
Contact the retailer. I'm never sure why people go direct to the manufacturer. They will need proof of purchase etc, they will also need you to post it to them. If you bring a broken bat back to us (i can't speak for other retailers) we post the bat for you, the manufacturer more often than not take our word for it on date of purchase so scrabbling round for a year old receipt isn't necessary, we can check our records if really needed and forward them our own copy of the receipt. We deal with the back and forth discussion with the returns department and then let you know of the hopefully happy outcome.
