nice work, personaly I would have applied fiberglass tape rather than the binding, I think it just looks less broken

Well binding give more strength to the repair and for me it looks better than tape...

I use tape in areas in wich the ball should hit more than the toe and shoulders...

cheers...

That's a nice repair. Can you give some details on what thread to buy for binding? And to bind it with bat is it wood glue?

Thanks....

I do use a nylon twine i get in a local hardware store...

And yes i do use wood glue... wrap the damaged area as tight as u can, keep applying glue to the twine as u continue to wrap... when u finish apply a coat of glue to all the twine and thats it....

easy job....

cheers...

Although nylon works well if you can get a cotton binding for repairs like this I think it works better as when you apply wood glue glue to it, it dried very hard and gives a very good protective layer I find

I tried once cotton twine but when i was binding it the twine broke... i dont know if i tried to bind it too tight or what....

The big plus of using nylon is that it can be binded as tight as u can without worrying that it will break.
