Low profile/compact pads
« on: July 26, 2015, 05:20:11 PM »

I've been umming and arring about changing my pads for a while as they're a bit big on me (Puma, mens fit is quite large) but stumbling post sweep and getting stumped yesterday has pretty much made my mind up.

I'm after a light, low profile pad - I've been looking at the SS Millenium Pro (or something akin to that). Does anyone have any comments about moulded pads or any other recommendations? No budget specifically, just after the right kit. I've done a search but the many of the recommendations aren't available anymore.

I'm looking at a pad of around 42cm from instep to knee roll so if anyone has these and could comment on mens sizing that would also be great!

Thanks for suggestions so far. Will take a look.

For context, pads at the moment are Puma Platinum 6000 LEs, very good protection, very light but reasonably bulky and fairly tall (45cm instep to centre of knee).

Not sure why but do like the look of the moulded styles of the SG Maxilite, SS Millenium Pro, BAS 2020, GM RSB (as was) etc. I guess the Morrant Ultralites are the leading choice but don't really see what they could offer over the others at over double the price.

Are they youths? I think the main reason of wanting to swap out is that the mens are fairly large sized.
