My New SS Bat
« on: July 24, 2015, 04:27:05 PM »

My new SS bat arrived today. It's an SS Sir Richards.

I'm very impressed, I think it's a bargain, I will upload pictures in a while.

40mm Edge
65mm Spine
Full Profile, no concaving, a bit of a duck bill shape.
2lb 9oz
9 grains that run through the toe

It picks up really well.

I've only just started knocking it in well but the response is good.

I bought it from Cricmart on Monday morning and it arrived this morning! Some UK companies don't delivery that fast.

The service from Swat was excellent, he answered my emails very quickly, I would not hesitate to recommend Cricmart to anyone, they are really professional.  I'll definitely be using them again.

This bat clearly doesn't exist as there's no pictures  ;)

Bit of an update here.

I've used this bat in a couple of nets and I'm liking it more and more.

It's a bit bottom heavy compared to my other bats but I'm getting used to it.  It feels like it's been pressed quite hard (which I prefer) and the performance from the middle is great.

It's quite forgiving well due to the amount of coverage.  I did buy it just for practice but I might use it in a game before the end of the season.

Very good value for money

That looks massive for the weight! I like it!  :D

Looking good mate. It will have to be some bat to beat that NB as first choice stick for a game.
