Performance and pick up.

Customer service is good to. Had a good 45 min chat on phone regarding what I wanted form Marcus to before he'd start. And then an upgraded bat cover when he thought he'd taken to long to make it and I was sat there thinking the turn around was good!!

Got to admit I'm really tempted by an affinity, either carbine or custom - not heard a bad thing and have seen a few at Vitas.  The only thing stopping me is the absolute god send of a 2 stripe B3 I picked up for about £100 cheaper when I got my 3 stripe refurbed - its now my main bat, even though its 5-6 oz heavier than I'd usually use - its THAT good.

Anyone got an affinity and B3?  If so, thoughts?  pros, cons?

Errrrrr

Affintys finishing is a tad better.
B3 performance is up there, and being cheaper are bargains(especially the butterflies).
The b3 mullinator is still one of the best bats I've owned.

Both worthy off anyone's money though.

^ I thin you qualify @smilley792 as a voice of experience!

The grade 2 I picked up is a mullinator, christ on a bike its good!  Was planning on using it for T20 but its to good to be left in my bag for most of the summer.

Clearly I won't go wrong looking at an affinity or another mullinator - not a bad problem to have...

Like Chris says Marcus will have a chat with you to discuss what you want. I've obviously bought a few, spoke to him quite a lot, sometimes just calls to see how I'm getting on. Top bloke and he's good craic. The bats are good too, never had one that you'd even think was just above average performance wise. They've all been great, some not stunning but I want them to score runs

Thought I'd drop it in here.

Marcus just announced a limited run off grade 1 toros are available right now. 2.9 to 2.11.

Looking at some of the prices for grade ones ,from the big names,,,350 is not too bad!
But yes, I agree,,,scary money

I've over 2000 runs on my Toro now , so to me, i wouldn't hesitate in buying another

I got a G2 for £225, you would have to prise it from my dead fingers to get it off me! When it goes I'll pay the money to get another without hesitation. If you had a go of one you'd understand why people love them!

I used my Affinity Ayrtek Custom yesterday, smashed their opening quick back over his head 3 times in an over! The cordon and keeper all came asking what it was and where I got it! I tried to tell them it was the batsmen not the bat but they'd seen me play before...... ???

I have a fantastic 2'10 Carbine Pro that I haven't had the chance to even fully knock in yet!
I am definitely contemplating using it in 2016 as it taps up just about as well as any other bat in my collection.....And those of you that know my collection must realise that this is the ultimate compliment!! I know that £360 seems like a big price to pay but Marcus is absolutely and totally passionate about the bats he makes! And the effort and work he puts into his bats shows in the finished article! I have seen quite a few batsmen with an Affinity this season and all of the bats have gone extremely well and made that lovely rifle shot noise that silences the fielding team!! This has been annoying as it was always our team fielding  :(

A team mates salix handle snapped yesterday. And as he uses the heavier bats there was only me to send him one.

He used the custom above.
4 balls later he played a lovely forward defensive and shouted "NO" 2 seconds later it went over cover boundary for 4. And he stood there staring at the bat puzzled.

It was probably all in his timing, but he spent about 2 hrs latter the game going on about the bat and that shot!
