So a quick question about bat wax.

When applied is it the same as regular raw linseed oil, in that I need to let it soak in for 24 hours before knocking in etc? Or can I apply the wax, polish and begin the knocking in soon after?

Also, if I decide to apply a bat facing, is it necessary to oil at all? I'm assuming a light oil before will only help, assuming I let it dry for long enough before applying any adhesive film.
