Is Canadian willow on par with English willow

The sweet spot is supposed to be excellent as the willow is taken from Maple Trees.

Would assume it compares with the junior bats kookaburra offer made out of European willow. They are absolutely massive yet still fairly light for their size, the performance in my opinion is not as good and longevity/durability has to be questioned. Kook have made a sensible move by offering them up to size 6 only, the child is likely to out grow it before breaking it

Lot of these canadian willow has reached indian market, and although performance is ok, but it breaks very quickly. So Ideal for nets or practice but I wouldn't bet on it yet for matches. Just to add, the clefts are light in weight so 45-50mm edges will be normal on these.

I think if it had been sold en masse before now, we would know about it due to a very high return rate, especially for adult bats, playing against adult balls and (usually) bigger/stronger/faster bowlers.

I can't say for sure whether the European Willow i have seen is the same or similar to Canadian, but i suspect it will be. I suspect it may will replace 'English Willow Nurtured In India' as the default option when it comes to cheap slop from ebay and bedroom sellers as the grains and size are usually impressive.
