I too was lucky enough to lay my humble palms upon it
Cracking bat and a shame that no more will be made by Julian

Simons a true gent for letting us mere mortals have a hit with a bit of bat exotica
Nobody told me the scat was available for netting? I had to make do with Pete's Gareth Cross butterfly. Feel robbed now :-(

I think it is because he did what so many of use wanted to do, but many of us live too far away to do. I'd have thought most people in the local area would have done the same thing.

It's a lot of jealousy as he probably got a very good deal. However, the other guy must have also go a decent deal else he would not have sold it.  I bet the guy must have wondered what was going on, I bet he had loads of emails, he certainly didn't reply to mine.

One question though Simon.  He stated it was unused, but the blade showed red cherry marks.  Had it been used at all? It certainly looks like it hasn't now.

It was very light use and I had to make a 150 mile round trip to get the bats but was worth the trip

Thats just being greedy Uzair

Possibly. But to clarify, one of them is broken (my first one). Other which I have is well used along some toe damage. The third one (locally on which I have my eyes) has been passed among three buyers who did not get along it.

Having seen Simon's Scat in the flesh i can confirm that the pictures don't do it justice. You can't get the feel of the handle, or the pickup justice looking at the pictures (which still make me drool each time!)

It was bittersweet being able to wave the bat around and tap up a ball on it (I wasn't brave enough to use it - 'just in case'). It was the most amazing bat I have ever laid hands on, and I fell in love with everything about it.
It's sad to know Julian Millichamp has hung up his drawknife, so no more of these will be made, and my dream of one day ownimg a Screaming Cat is now highly unlikely at best.  :(

You see a very nice copy of it very soon mate and it is a serious bat that's for sure and its shame that Julian is not making any more bats

Who's making it simon?

Matt - H4L
Si is getting a Custom model and judging by the clefts Matt has, it promises to be an absolute stunner!
I am looking forward to seeing it already!

Judging by what Matt has been making in the Custom willow so far, I suspect it will be lush!
The fact that he will be copying such an awesome bat as the Screaming Cat Custom makes it all the more special and exciting!
Simon is as excited as anything. But I dare say there are a number of us eager to see what this comes out like!  :D

A lot of batmakers get the shape right but just quite can't get the handle right
