GN Partially Knocked in
« on: November 10, 2015, 12:54:39 PM »

Have a very nice F18 Blade and it feels pretty much knocked in. Mallet not making many marks. I wondered if it was already knocked in and a few websites said it was "Partially" knocked in. Anybody have a clue what this actually means?

my understanding  is you  are required to hand knock in the blade in for a further 3 mil.

Below is what they put on their eBay clearance page. Don't know if this applies to all bats though.

Pre Prepared bat - knocked in, scuff sheet and Protectoe (may need 30 minutes to one hour further knocking in before use).

I'd go with that. I'm giving it the occasional heavy bash and it's not denting much.

Take it to the nets and give it a go against spinners or slow bowlers. This will clearly show you if the bat is ready or not ...

Or use it on a bowling machine like myself and Mr Hosk did last Saturday :-)
